Dr. Jill Stewart, MD
Dr. Jill Stewart, MD, values giving each patient her undivided attention and ample time to hear and discuss their care so they can collaborate on effective treatment options.
Her genuine interest in their health questions and concerns helps her patients to feel safe and builds trust as she advocates for them within the healthcare system’s bureaucracy. Dr. Stewart recognizes the impact of family dynamics on health and wellness (or disease) and considers those dynamics as she focuses on finding solutions that improve patients’ health.
Dr. Stewart has over two decades of rural medicine experience, including emergency medicine, obstetrics (delivering more than 300 babies), pediatric care, and geriatric practice. In addition, she provides expertise in diagnostic and preventive medicine in both clinic and hospital settings. Dr. Stewart graduated from the KU School of Medicine in 2002 and completed her residency at Smokey Hill Family Medicine in 2005. She has been board-certified in Family Medicine since 2004.
Beyond serving her patients, Dr. Stewart finds joy in God’s natural world: the spring wheat emerging green in the fields, smelling the rain and fresh earth in her garden, and watching baby calves frolic during calving season. She spends her extra time as a farmer’s wife, gaining wisdom and learning new things, and wishing she enjoyed cooking a little more.
